About Us
The Austin Wing Tsun Academy was founded by Master Jeff Webb in the mid-80's in order to bring the art of Wing Tsun kung fu to Austin. Between 1986 and 1991, Master Webb (then a young instructor) organized numerous seminars in Austin, bringing in several certified Wing Tsun teachers to improve his own training and that of his students.

A Training Camp in Austin Taught by Master Webb
In late 1991, Sifu Webb left for the U.S. Air Force and was stationed in Germany for close to four years. There he studied under the European Wing Tsun Organization (EWTO) and eventually earned his 2nd Level Technician rank and the title of "Sifu" before returning the Texas in early 1996.
Upon his return, Sifu Webb immediately began rebuilding and reorganizing his group of students with the goal of opening the first professional Wing Tsun school in Austin. Within 18 months the Academy found a permanent home at 5318 Manchaca Road in South Austin -- becoming the very first professional Wing Tsun kung fu school in the city.
Through proper management the school has thrived and produced a number of highly-skilled technician-level practitioners (equivalent of black belt in other styles). To date more than 30 people have earned the technician level ranking under the expert instruction of Master Webb and his Academy.
In late 2004, the Academy opened a second fully-equipped location in North Austin and began offering both day and evening classes.
Sifu Jeff Webb was invited to Hong Kong in December of 2005 where he received promotion to the rank of Wing Tsun Master. To date, Austin Wing Tsun Academy remains one of the most professional and respected martial arts schools in the country.
