Freshman Applicants
Keystone is appealing the recent Adverse Action by its accreditor, Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE). During the appeal process Keystone will remain accredited, however, a condition of the appeal is that we cannot market to, recruit, or enroll new students.
While you are welcome to submit an application, please note that Keystone will not take further action on your application until a final decision on the appeal is announced. At this time, a final decision may not be known until March/April 2025. Please check back for updates and we will notify you of any updates when we are able.

Accepted Students
We’ve got a few checklist items to ensure your first year at Keystone is unbelievable.
1. Application
Two different ways to apply:
- Applying to multiple colleges?
Students who plan to apply to multiple schools that accept the Common App, should submit the Common App. - Applying to just a few colleges?
Students who plan to apply only to a few schools should choose the Keystone College Online Application or download, print and submit a paper application.
2. File Your FAFSA
Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) if you’d like to be considered for federal and state financial aid. The FAFSA can be filed after October 1st. If you are a Pennsylvania resident you MUST file by May 1st to be considered for the state grant.
3. High School Transcripts
Request an official high school transcript from your high school guidance counselor, or send official GED test scores (if applicable).
Your guidance office can send via a secure electronic transcript service, or they can mail to:

4. Test Scores (Optional)
If received, test scores will be considered. Admissions may request test scores in some cases. Test scores can be submitted by requesting a report from collegeboard.org or can be included on your transcripts sent from your high school’s guidance office. Read more about our test-optional policy.
5. Letter of Recommendation or Personal Statement
A letter of recommendation, teacher evaluation, and/or personal statement about why you should be considered for admission are not required, but highly recommended.
- Still in high school? Have your teacher complete a Teacher Evaluation Form
- Already graduated? You may have someone, other than a friend or relative, write a letter of recommendation in place of a teacher evaluation.

Special Considerations for Learning and/or Physical Disabilities
Keystone College complies with policy and federal law, Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 and the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990, which prohibit discrimination on the basis of a disability.
In order to request services and/or accommodations for students with learning or other disabilities, Keystone College requires a current evaluation by an appropriate professional attesting to the nature of the disability and specifying any limitations and special accommodations relevant to a college learning environment.
While information may be contained in an Individualized Education Plan, 504 Plan or Transitional Plan, Keystone College reserves the right to request additional information or assessment, such as recent psychological testing, to ensure proper guidance and assistance to the disabled student as needed throughout their tenure. Appropriate documentation should be submitted to the Admissions Office no later than four weeks prior to the start of class, to ensure adequate time for review.
